PITTSBURGH, PA (MAY 6, 2000) -Clifford "The Black Rhino" Etienne opened HBO's new "K.O. Nation" series with a brutal and dominating unanimous 10 round
decision over highly regarded Lamon Brewster.

The bout, one of the best in recent heavyweight history, was a non-stop
slugfest, with the undefeated Etienne outworking the game, but outgunned
Brewster (23-1, 20 KOs).  The three judges at ringside were in agreement,
all scoring Etienne the winner, 99-91(twice) and 98-92.

The unbeaten "Black Rhino" (16-0, 11 KOs) weathered an aggressive early
first round attack by Brewster, and ended the opening frame with vicious
combinations  which left his opponent reeling, and bleeding from a cut over
his eye.

The bout then took on a familiar pattern, with Etienne moving forward,
throwing punches in bunches, and a gutsy Brewster trying to put together an
offensive of his own.

Etienne, a well-hidden secret no longer, will now look to storm the
heavyweight division with his relentless, bruising style.
